One Hell of a Newspaper Woman
Hannah Spaar's office is a somewhat unusual one. The building it sits in used to be a grocery store before turning into a newsroom, and her office walls leave a couple feet of empty space below the ceiling. Mizzou memorabilia covers the shelves and walls on all sides.
It's here that Spaar works tirelessly to continue her family's tradition of working with The Odessan, Odessa, Mo.'s local newspaper. Spaar is the fifth generation of her family to work in the newspaper business, and today she helps run the paper as its news editor.

With Hunter Bailey on vocals and bass, Eric Kvam on guitar and Jalen Julian on drums, the trio worked on recording, rehearsing, performing and now releasing their newest single, “Thelma.”

Painters aim to become Top Brawler at Vangarde Arts Art Brawl
Brent Stockton, Vangarde Arts’ director, would use one word to describe the Art Brawl: "Weird."
Art critics and newbies alike packed Vangarde Arts from door to stage to view 12 artists create original pieces live during the third Art Brawl.
Instead of the quiet studio they may be used to, artists paint in front of a live audience and band. They’ve got 30 minutes to paint without reference with materials provided by Vangarde Arts. Once their time is up, it’s up to the audience members to decide who moves on to the next round, or in this case, who becomes the Top Brawler.
